Kinesiology

What is Systematic Kinesiology?

Traditionally Kinesiology refers to the study of muscles and movement in the body. However in the complimentary health sector the term Kinesiology covers a broader spectrum.

Kinesiology combines the principles of traditional Chinese Acupuncture and the more modern techniques of muscle testing and structural analysis. It addresses emotional, physical, nutritional and energetic conditions and can help you enjoy a level of health and well-being you may not have experienced since you were a child.

Muscles are used as ‘indicators’ to reveal imbalances and stress in the body. By completing a series of muscle tests and kinesiological techniques we are able to detect those imbalances and determine which corrections are needed i.e. Massage, nutrition, or stimulating certain contact points. The science of Advanced Kinesiology enables practitioners to locate imbalances in the body that could be the cause of deterioration in health and well-being either now or in the future. Food allergies/sensitivities can be identified as well as vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

Kinesiology is recognized as one of the most potent, safe, powerful and natural approach to holistic health care that has ever been discovered.

How many Kinesiology treatments will I need?

This varies with the individual. As a guideline you will notice an improvement within the first three treatments. For more chronic cases more treatments may be needed.

Ideally you will have a kinesiology treatment once a week for the first three weeks then the sessions will start to be staggered and spread out according to a joint assessment between you and Michelle. It is necessary to keep a close eye on how different you feel since you have begun treatment. Michelle will keep a written account of your improvements and will make a more scientific assessment of your health using tangible results in muscle testing.

 Will kinesiology help me?

Sadly, for many people, it has become an accepted part of everyday life to feel “a little under the weather”. This need not be the case!

Advanced Kinesiology can help with many of the health problems that most people put up with because they feel it’s not worth troubling their doctor, or for which they have sought help but received no relief. Almost everyone you know suffers from one or other of these conditions, none of them life threatening, they just make life a misery.

Unfortunately it is not uncommon for a kinesiologist to hear from a client: “I’ve tried everything else. This is my last chance.” Sadly many people suffer for years with chronic conditions such as eczema, tiredness, headaches, digestive problems, depression, joint-pain, ME, chronic fatigue, acute pain, IBS, RSI(the list goes on). These pains are symptomatic of a bigger picture. Kinesiology helps the client discover things about themselves and their bodies. Mainly, they ascertain what their bodies need in order to heal and recover.

The cause of most of these problems is the way we live; our hectic lifestyles, stress at work and at home, inadequate eating habits, lack of exercise etc. Unfortunately, our bodies are only designed to withstand a certain degree of stress. When this becomes excessive something has to give. Certain parts shut down when under duress. This is often compared to how a fuse blows in a house when we overload the electrical circuit.

When we remove the stress causing factors and add a few stress reducing techniques we replace “the fuse” so the body can operate more effectively. Hence, Kinesiology aims to promote: healing and recovery, the relief of pain and discomfort, and the prevention of illness. Systematic Kinesiology unlocks the mysteries of our bodies and takes the guesswork out of treatment.
